Reykjavik, Iceland
If you can go to Reykjavik in December--yes, December, to the northernmost national capital in the world--I recommend it. Most people go in the summer, when the days are long long long. In December, the days are short. The sun literally crests the horizon, but never rises into the sky, and then drops out of sight in a matter of a few hours. But when the sun is up, the light is entirely golden. Unfortunately, we did not see the Northern Lights on this trip. That's OK. It just means we have to go back. Here are just a few images of this beautiful, welcoming city. There's sure to be more later. That's all for now. Stay tuned for another post featuring just a tiny sample of Reykjavik's incredible street art.
