Photo A Day: Afternoon In Paris

In honor of getting a new camera and needing a reason to play with it…welcome to my Photo A Day! Topic: Whatever strikes my fancy. Frequency: Daily-ish, I hope.This photo is old--it's been a while since I've been in Paris!--but it's a favorite, and the product of pure dumb luck. George and I were in Paris with friends John and Molly, and we stopped in a bar for an afternoon snack and a bottle of wine. As we were leaving, I looked back, and I liked the whole thing. The bottle, the color of the walls, the shining wine glasses, the orange plate with our toothpicks on it. Snap! The first picture was kind of meh, but the second surprised me.The picture is cool, but BONUS! This was not a bad way to spend an afternoon with friends.FYI, this photo is going to have a spot on the wall at my upcoming show, so dig that, errybody. I'm so excited!
