Big Beautiful World 1 -- Sunrise, Gloucester, MA

I've said this before, but it bears repeating, and tell all your friends to pass it along: It's a big, beautiful world out there. Let's stop trying to screw it up. What do you say? If you've seen the movie The Perfect Storm then you've heard of Gloucester, MA. The town is kind of a horseshoe around the super-active fishing harbor--it is the oldest fishing port in the US, established in 1623, and it's still going strong today. So it's got this harbor, and that's groovy, but I have no idea what the situation is downtown for harborside hotels. Because it is, after all, also got an ocean-facing side, looking out to the east for the sunrise. And if you are oceanside at dawn, you can see this.Which is not a bad way to start the day.
